| The RIDE uniquely
blends up-tempo Country with Country Rock cross over artists;
creating a new wave in Radio Programming. |
| |
| In the late 60’s when radio was owned by individuals,
a revolution was created by a small band of visionary entrepreneurs
that took chances with musical artists, programmed deep cuts
with no repeat playlists and blazed a new trail that became mainstream. |
| |
| With FM’s success came ownership change and consolidation
to large corporations who bought up icon stations and dismantled
them into bland nationwide safe programming. The result stunted
Radios growth with one guy programming 1200 stations that all
sound alike. We got cookie cutter programming that expected an
attention span of only 12 minutes and it doesn’t work!
Listeners today switch between a small cluster of tolerable Rock
and Country radio stations the second they hear a tune they do
not like. |
| |
| The RIDE is locally
owned and operated by the family that pioneered FM radio as the
original owners of KNAC Los Angeles. Now after 20 years in the
TV business they return to their radio roots with fresh ideas. |
| |
| The RIDE's new
ground breaking Country-Rock format is a revival of the art for
those who like to hear more than the same 50 tunes. The
RIDE playlists consist of 7,000 hand picked cuts
from the best Country and Rock artists that share musical roots.
Rock Bands like The Allman Brothers, The Band and ZZ Top all
came from Country roots. |
