KRYD-FM is a world class radio station that brought back to the airwaves what has been lost for nearly 20 years - the art of rock radio! Free Form Rock from pioneers of FM rock radio. We play the deepest play list of only the hippest music from the last 50 years. The RIDE is a musical experience that uniquely blends rock from its roots to present.

The RIDE is a revival of Album-orientated rock (AOR), a time when no control was imposed over what music played. In the late 1960s, when radio was owned by individuals, an evolution was created by a small band of visionaries that took chances with musical artists and blazed a trail in radio history by introducing a new sound that became main stream. AOR became known for deep cuts rock, no repeat music and minimum talk mixed with common sense consciousness. It’s the music that defined a generation in the spirit of rock radio.

The RIDE is owned and operated by a family of broadcast pioneers that made FM radio history in the late 1960s as the original owners of KNAC Los Angeles one of the first Rock radio stations in the country. The RIDE is operated by the Varecha family, a small staff and programmed by long time friend David Marsden inductee to Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame and Cleveland, Ohio’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The Ride doesn’t play songs, we play music weaved with tapestry and tone. The sound is artfully blended with mixes and segues that seamlessly ties the music together. Deep cuts, no repeats, limited talk, minimum commercial interruptions and higher consciousness lyrics contribute to the programming concept.

Enjoy The RIDE!
